Good morning everyone, new guy here with a question. I have a 1997 Evinrude 150(E150EXEVC , or UC ) from original owner, my best friend. He thinks the engine lost spark. I have the engine and would like to trouble shoot. I do not have a shifter but the harness has its own key switch. I would like to know if it has a neutral safety switch. I assume it would prevent spark if it thought it was in gear. In the pick below, there are 3 wire looms that have 3 wires each. On 2 of those, there are 3 wires availible to be hooked up. On the last, 2 wires seem to be taped back, leaving only one wire available to hook up. I know one set must be tilt trim, but do not know wich 3 that is. From the pic below, can anyone id thses wires? There is also 1 yellow wire at the key switch that does not seem to have a home either.
Thank you for any advise and help provided.
Dave
