Yes, I bought this device past year as I like very much to have everything under control when at sea. The mobile VV is a second choice to real VesselView instrument, but it is cheaper. All in all I am not satisfied because of multiple reasons.
First, it is not very handy unless you install a dedicated tablet or phone on the console and when you look at your own screen you do not see where you go, especially when you wear glasses.
Second, there is no manual, so you have to guess how it works.
Third, this app gives a lot of focus on the dealer network and, on a small boat, I am not interested where dealers are: I already know.
Fourth, probably the main issue, the app resets each time you power off your engine, so you loose every previous consumption information.
Fifth, the app is scarcely developed and I do not expect major upgrades in the future.
After a few days I lost any interest in using this toy, an expensive toy, btw.
Being owner of two Mercury engines, I must say that this is the same old story with Mercury, a lot of marketing but a few “real things”, if any.
