I have a 2004 270 Outrage. I have searched all over and can't seem to find information on installing HD swivel rod holders. I'm thinking I can cut a hole in a piece of starboard that the bottom of the rod holder tube can slide into and then bolt the piece of starboard to the inside part of the hull to take most of the presser off of the piece that's just glued to the hull at the top of the gunwale. Has anyone done this before or have a better suggestion? We are going to be fishing for BFT so quite a bit of presser will be on where ever the rod holder gets attached. I don't want the glued on piece with the factory rod holders getting ripped off.
