You can't get a <20' Whaler with a "head" you have to go 210 Montauk or larger to satisfy the admiral(s) that length will also be be for the offshore trips you mention, although the smaller sizes can do that when you pick the right weather. The Outrage(s) will give you a smoother ride size for size compared to the Montauk but the larger 21' 210 Montauk with head will give you a good ride too due to it heavier weight.
