I am mounting a Garmin 54cv with a 23TM transducer on my boat, which is a new-to-me 2012 Super Sport 15. I am using a stern saver mounting board. Does anyone have placement measurements for this model? I would like to see any measurements for any transducer mounted on a similar 15 super sport...if it works well for you. I don't have a clue even where to start with the board, never mind the actual transducer. Pictures would be amazing. I have done my best to search the forum for an answer before asking. So I apologize in advance if this particular question has been covered. New guy - please be gentle!

Im dumb and dont know how to post pics. I used the bass pro starboard plank kit. Mounted thr transducer above the inside flat area of the starboard lifting strake. Seems to work pretty good. You need to follow the mounting directions that came with the tranducer. Each one is a little different apparently. Dont let the starboard plank hang below the bottom edge of the transom or it can act like a trim tab. Even once i had mine mounted it had to be fine tuned on water, at first i had a bad rooster tail and had to raise it up. Then it had to be leveled for the side imaging to work right.

Its a process. But once its right its done.

Thanks for the reply. That gives me an idea of where to start. I assumed there would be some fine tuning. I am worried about not even being in the ballpark after installing the stern-saver.

I have a 2015 150 SS. Here is a photo of my transducer installation. The board I used was one of the commercially available plastic lumbers for marine use. There's a few brands. I believe the stern saver is nothing more than this same type of material, already cut to size. I made mine to fit the boat, not the transducer, because I was using an inherited transducer which might not have been a permanent addition to the boat. I GLUED the board to the boat with 3M 5200. My install was in the winter, so I misted the area and kept it warm with a light bulb while curing. The material is the thicker stuff ... 3/8"?? Maybe 1/2". So, my screws are shorter than the material is thick. What I wanted was to avoid piercing the hull. Stern Saver is supposed to be nice and look good. Good luck!!!

Thank you for the picture. Is that directly under the drain, or inboard of it, or outboard of it? Looks like just under the drain, or perhaps inboard a little. Thanks again.
