My neighbor Bob, across the street, has a 13' Sport, not sure of the year, but checking the model specs on this site, it is the standard deal, side steering: http://www.whalercentral.com/userphot...lbum_id=37

His OLD Yamaha outboard seems to have hit its end-of-life ... and he has an excellent mechanic who agrees.

What is the current thinking about repowering a 13' Sport ...

Use is on Lake Erie, no trolling, almost always two persons on board (they are a cute couple!). Can't underpower it much, if you gotta get off this lake, you gotta get off soon ... we have temperamental weather for small boats here ...

I'll try to draft him to sign up as a member here ... but would appreciate recent thinking and developments in outboards.
