I have a 1987 18' Outrage. I need to re-wire my bow lights. When doing so, is it possible to connect new wires to the old ones and simply pull them thru to the starboard side panel? Are the existing wires behind the rub rail rubber insert or are the wires behind the rub rail receiver track?

The wires will not pull through. The wire sits inside the receiver and the rub rail shelters it. My 1979 22' Revenge had butt connectors in part of the run. The wires were not in a jacket. A very small/thin tinned marine grade wire can be used (I believe that tinned speaker wire was mentioned on the site as acceptable). Not too tough a task to pop out the rub rail. I replaced both my rub rail and the receiver track once off. My receiver track was pretty trashed. If you decide to replace the rub rail and track keep the old ones around to serve as templates. The corners at the stern of my 22'Revenge were compound miters. Not a simple cut.
