You do not want a permanently mounted tank in a Nauset console. You will have venting and filling design problems to soslve.

The mahogany console was designed to accomodate two of the 12 gallon Tempo aluminized steel red tanks, restrained by a round bar, and which pull out for filling, like these:

Since they are difficult to source these days, you can use the 12 gallon Moeller tanks instead, and you will still have the center space open to access the tunnel.
