We were told by the local dealer that in 2018 Boston Whaler is changing the Montauk series of boats. Suppose to be an all new Montauk.

We are still looking at older (2002 & up) Boston Whalers in the Dauntless, Montauk and Outrage series in 18-20ft lengths.

I believe that the Montauk changed in 2002 (Montauk 170) & 2007 (Montauk 190).

I believe that the Outrage changes in 2002 (Outrage 180). Not sure if there was any other change.

Not sure about Dauntless.

Can anyone verify my dates I think are correct or add dates of hull changes in these 3 Boston Whaler series boats.

Thanks for any info or pointing me to already posted data.

See the Whaler Models and Specs at the top of this page under the "Resources" link in the menu bar.

Never was an Outrage 180.
2003 Nantucket 190 became the Outrage 190 later on in 2006.

The new models usually show up in July or August the previous year just like automobiles. However, some new models have been introduced in January of the same model year.
Example: 2002 Montauk 170 (new Accutrac hull) was introduced in January of 2002 as a 2002 year model.

Found a 2005 BW 190 Nantucket with a 150 Mercury. Boat looks very clean & Excellent and motor has 178 hrs. Complete with trailer. Wonder what it is worth. He is asking $20K.

Thanks,

The Nantucket model was renamed the Outrage 190 and is still in production.

It reads to be a good price presuming.....no bottom paint, cushions, gel coat, trailer are all in good shape. Not sun baked and worn.

Thank You Sir.

I have studied everything I can find.

Is there anything on the 190 Nantucket that has been an issue in the past?

Any thing I should know about a Mercury 150 Optimax?

Thank you
