The mechanic wants to put the new battery for the 90 horse two stroke Yamaha back by the motor well. I feel it should go under the console.
Question: What is the original/best place for the battery?
Question 2: I replaced the console with some Meranti, but could not find ribbon stripped like the old piece. The stuff I used is Aquatech Meranti 1/2" marine ply the tone is different than the gorgeous wood in the original windshield. any thoughts on where I can lay my hands on the right wood for console top?
