Hi everyone! I am the proud new (3rd) owner of a 2012 Montauk 170. Bought as is but did a sea trial and all went well. Motor great, electrical needs some work and some of the installed options need work. No big deal. I hope!!! Until I found water under the helm in the electrical access hole for the wiring harnesses to the various components at the bow and stern that run in the hull. Should any water be lying in the hull?

And is the hull baffled in sections? The aft end sits really low and I am concerned there is water in the aft hull section.

Any knowledge on hull construction and possible water intrusion would be greatly appreciated!
