Check out UTUBE for "restoring a Boston Whaler".
Tons of information. Sand, sand and then sand - using a grinder/dremel for big cracks, West system for big problems, the fairing compound for these areas and all blemishes then sand, sand, and sand - getting all old paint, glossy surfaces, dust, dirt, wax, etc off all surfaces.
If you do all of that any good boat paint will work. I used 2 part Epifanes polyurethane in Boston Whaler blue for mine from Jamestown Distributors.
I used Total Boat primer.
Bottom - Total Boat epoxy barrier coat with Velux VC-17 bottom paint (there are many good choices).
I regret using a smooth roller for primer as it left very minor texture that I did not sand enough before spraying the final 2 finish coats.
Enjoy
