I have a new three piece rub rail installed on my latest, long term re-do project.
The original bow light now doesn't fit in it's original place because of the new rail. I can raise it and move it into position over the mounting holes by using a piece of Mahogany shaped to fit it's outline so the rub rail integrity is left intact or, I can mount it in it's original position by cutting the rub rail bumper and hard plastic rail so it fits but then it may look um, cobbled. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Chris

I suggest you just re-install the bow chock/navigation light using a wood (teak or mahogany) riser. That is the only way for it to fit with the 3-piece gunwale guard. Do not cut your gunwale guard insert (the black piece) because it will shrink and look "cobbled" after just a few years.

Thanks, I was leaning that way anyway but wanted to make sure it was the best solution.
I cut the riser this afternoon and placed it and it will look pretty good as it turns out.. I appreciate the affirmation.
