It's done, waiting for the rub rail. Don't hesitate to take on a restoration! This great website gave me the inspiration and information to take on this 100% restoration!

Your vessel looks fantastic. My only criticism is that the Whaler Decal was put on backwards. Honestly that has nothing to do with the joy the boat will bring you . Congratulations !

Good observation. You will also note the windshield slants aft, not forward - another defect for the purist. You are really correct that it won't cloud the enjoyment.

Paul - The decals are an easy fix.

Call Janis @ Magic Brush for a new set. They are the sole OEM source.

Well done!

Just in case you do decide to want original replacement decals someday, you would want the 14 inch size instead of the 28 inch size you have on there now.
See our Frequently Asked Questions on size and placement of decals.

Also see our OEM Part info section.

Thank you, I agree. I actually hesitated to put those huge things on considering my use of the term "restoration" and not "fix up". My mistake and this sites information encourages me to make it right (even though the windshield was modified in the 70s by the prior owner). I almost bought the new console but I needed to stop before I went broke.
