I've ordered a new windshield and I'm trying to find the rubber bushings that are used to secure it to the center console.

Thank you in advance for any info!

Who did you order the wind sheild from? UPD Plastics? That's where I got the two replacements for our dual console. They provided everything to mount the windshield.

The hardware includes nylon bushings and well nuts.

Here is info on the well nuts from the OEM Parts Index.

Here is a photo of the screw, finish washer and bushing from my boat.

The correct mounting device for the Montauk and Outrage windshields is Wellnut #G-1032.
Those supplied by the plastics supplier are not correct.

i recently installed one of these new windshields on my Outrage 25, and I bought a box of 25 of these Wellnuts, the only way I could get them. They are fairly hard to obtain.

I think you need seven for the windshield installation. So since i had to buy so many, i can sell you seven for $1,00 each if interested, including shipping, a good deal. Post here if wanted.

As the size indicates, they also require a flat head #10 x 1-1/4" fine thread machine screw, with trim ring, flat washer and a small 1/4" x 1/4" white plastic bushing (in that order), with hole for the #10 screw, that fits into the 1/4" holes in the windshield (which you may have to drill yourself). The wellnut goes into the hole in the console, from the outside.

Described is the original factory installation detail.

I use oval head screws when possible. McMaster-Carr has most stuff. I'm not sure about the white plastic bushing but I get 10-32 SS oval head screws and well nuts for the company from McMaster.

I went with a UPD plastics windshield replacement for my Dauntless and it did not come with the hardware. I searched all over for the wellnuts including McMaster Carr Grainger, ETC. They all offer wellnuts but when you see them in person none of them our thick enough for the thickness of the center console wall. I only needed a couple and ended getting them from Sue at Beacon Marine. If Finnegan already has the right size, his offer is a deal as I think I paid double or more for each one.

Wow, what a great site. I was given the site name from my Whaler dealer in NJ. I came here looking for the wellnuts discussed in this post. My first visit here and I found what I was looking for. Hey Finnegan, you still have some leftover? Thanks.

Phil There should also be a #10 flat washer which goes under the trim ring and against the head of the bushing. This protects the glass from the trim ring sharp edge, and holds the bushing in tight.

I realized that after taking the photo and putting the samples back in the ziplock bag. I noted it in the photo comment.
