I am looking to install, a pedestal seat on the bow of my 2008 Montauk 190, but want to see if it's even possible and if anyone else has had experience with them.

The other question I had was regarding the live well. When I bought the boat the live well was not hooked up. What does it entail to have it hooked up? Is it a big procedure (holes drilled in the boat)

pw,

If there is room and it doesn't interfere with the locker, then sure (I haven't done it on your boat). You should use backing plate(s) to keep it sturdy.

"the live well was not hooked up" So is there an inlet or outlet or just the moulded tub and cover?

The live bait well on the 190 Montauk requires a scoop type through hull fitting with valve slightly ahead of the transom on the hull center line. Also required is a pump to supply water to the well when not underway. A well drain with standpipe plumbed to the transom above the waterline is needed. No valve is required but a fitting with barb is needed to go through the transom. Wiring from the pump to the battery and a dash on/off switch will finish the job off.

For a more complete OEM BOM go to the BW parts site and choose 2008 190 Montauk. The drawings will get you to the part numbers. It may be useful to contact BW to see if the have a part number for a complete kit.

I'm fairly handy but am not a contortionist so I would not attempt the modification. My local BW dealer would get the work.
