I recently purchased a 2013 Montauk 150 with a 60hp. The warranty runs out in June but I can purchase the Mercury 5 year extended warranty for $1,100, which includes mechanical and electrical. Under 100 hours per year predicted use.
Would you buy the extended warranty?

Nope. Pocket the money and save it for a repower when/if needed someday.
