UPDATE: I Picked up the 1991 17' OUTRAGE I in Florida. It is in pretty good condition. The motor is scrap, but I figured that was the case. All three trailer tires blew on the way home. They were all dry rotted. I Learned a lesson: If any tires look dry rotted, DON'T use them. It took 4 different Walmart store visits to find 2 new mounted trailer tires, plus a spare, then all was well. The nice thing about the Super Walmart stores, is that most are open 24 hours, and show up on my GPS. It was nice to be able to buy rims with mounted tires at 3 AM...!!!
Instead of using the 60 HP Merc 4 stroke that I have which is like new, I decided today, I am going to go all the way for a new E-Tec 115 HP. What the heck, I'm not getting any younger... I found a good deal for a new 2014 E-Tec 115 for $8250. Adding installation, all new controls, 1.8 gallon oil tank, prop, cables and tachometer, plus tax brings the total to $11,000. It comes with a freaking 10 YEAR WARRANTY...!!! Any company that offers a 10 year warranty, must have a good product. If I wanted a 5 year warranty, and the same controls, it would be $10K out the door... Tomorrow, I am picking up a nice galvanized keel roller/bunk trailer, used for $400. I will buy 3 new galvanized rims with tires for it. The new trailers I found were $2100 to $3000. I Can't wait to take OUTRAGEOUS out for a little ride...!!!
