Put down the paint brush and slowly step away from the can.

Almost all wood can be restored with not alot of effort.

The Montauk wooden parts were all teak. With a little sanding and some teak oil, it will come back. Yearly maintenance is just another application of oil. If a year round boater, make it every 6 months.

Same goes for gelcoat. If sun faded, it can be restored to its tan and shiny self with some fiberglass rubbing compound and a variable speed buffer with a wool bonnet.
