I am honored announce my return to the small but spunky group of owners who care for a often overlooked model, the Outrage 17. While overshadowed by the classic Montauk and the world famous Outrage 18, this model has the traits of both and some unique to herself.

As some of you know I owned a 1991 Outrage 17 for 7 years but sold it. Huge mistake, as any die hard whaler owner knows.

I gathered up my resolve to correct my poor judgement and acquired a 1992 Outrage 17 over New Years weekend. She was 450 miles away in VA but neither snow in WVA or cold or wind could stop me.

While I have great ideas for her, I am going to try to go slow and methodical and wring every ounce of joy in cleaning her up and providing some TLC.

My first task is to remove the console rail and see if I can get her to fit in the 2 car garage.
