Wanted to send an update on how I’m finally doing my cabin interior(ceiling and walls). I decided that I’m going to use vinyl and am both adhering the vinyl to the walls and putting up vinyl upholstered PVC board panels on the ceiling.

The cabin walls I’ve adhered 1/2 foam from Sailrite and am adhering the cream vinyl to the foam. Anything vertical within the cabin is being done like this as it’s 1) easier to stick the vinyl pieces to the walls and 2) there are only a couple ways I can create a framework to screw the PVC board panels to. I can’t screw a framework to the walls because the fiberglass isn’t thick enough to get a screw in threre without having to go through to the outside. I could have fiberglassed a framework to the walls but that is so time consuming and I don’t know if it will look any better. The ceiling however has 3/4”-1” of fiberglass so I can drill a screw in there for my framework.

With that said, I have the framework up on the ceiling and have created the templates for the PVC board panels. Surprisingly I only have to create 5 panels for the ceiling which has been nice. I’ve also got all the foam material on the walls and am just waiting to get the panels in place before I put the vinyl on the walls. That should be done here soon. But it’s going to look pretty good. I’m taking pics throughout the process and will be posting those in a couple weeks!
