Brand new to the forum. Time to move from a cruising boat to more of a fishing machine. I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 305 conquest. I'm going to look at it this coming Tuesday July 26/16.
Are there any areas I should pay special attention to? Is there any problems that other owners have run into on this model that I should pay attent to during the inspection?
Thanks to everyone for there response.

Welcome
No issues with the boat at all - fantastic vessel - both for cuising and fishing What options and motors are on the boat? How many hours? If Verados make sure that the fuel float switches have been "updated" and all service bulletins have been completed.
There were also issues with the GenI Verados lower units (1.75:1) - especially on a boat as heavy as the 305, so look for any metal shavings in the gear oil (assume you are having it surveyed) and the engines may need to be raised.

Thanks Jollyrog305. I wrote on Saturday to merc and asked based on the engine s/n's if all the campaigns and warranty items had been addressed. To my surprise I received a phone call from them at 8:15 this morning and they went over everything that had been done and assured me there should be no problems with these engines. Wow great customer service! There are about 1300 hours on the engines. Thanks so much for your reply
