You guys ever have to do maintenance on water pressure gauge ? mine stopped working..disconnected at engine block..plenty of water pressure there..disconnected at gauge end and put some airpressure to clean line..no problem there..sprayed some wd40 in the gauge to try getting that to work..began to come alive..but lazy..whats your fix ?tks in advance, bob

Bob,

The only thing I could think of would be to pressurize and depressurize the gauge with air over and over for a few minutes to see if that will finally loosen the gauge up enough to make it useful again. I'm assuming this is a Bourden (sp?) tube pressure gauge with a little lever acting on the needle. Perhaps some water found it's way into the gauge and you have a little corrosion. Of course, if the tube leaks that's a gauge killer.

A risky alternative would be to remove the glass face cover of the gauge and directly lubricate the the action and free up the needle.

I like to save stuff and the savings are not my motivator but sometimes a new gauge is the way to go.
