Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: I had this on my transom of my 16 Nauset ..what is it?

My 1974 Outrage 21 had the same thing attached through hull to the starboard transom. I had only the triangular piece. Still have no clue what it was for.
