That tank only holds 12 gallon. It's a fun ride, especially on a calm day like that was.

Gotta ask. What is top speed ! how fast at 4000rpm cruise ?

I am only guessing, but I think mid l/high 40's. If you notice in the video, I trim it all the way down, jack plate all way down. Throttle up, gets it in the 40's, and at the top of the jack plate being all the way up, you start to tilt up. With every bump up, the motor wakes up and puts on speed fast. The boat is going the fastest at the end of the video after the slight turn. The little hot-rod jet skis can't keep up with it. It's a blast.

I am just envious of the large amount of flat water.

Phil, that's the Gulf of Mexico on Floridas "Nature Coast". Only problem is that if you fish, you go out thirty miles and it's only 25 ft deep. 1,000's of years of hurricanes, and heavy river flows in this area make it like that. It is almost always flat there, even when the wind is up, never not that 1-2 ft waves at the worst. Weeki Wachee Florida

Guy, you are killing me. What was the RPM & top speed? I know you probably didn't get what you wanted but that boat was scooting along big time.

With just me, it spins to ~6,000-6,100, with a 2.33 lower and a 28" prop. It goes a lot faster with just one person. This video I glanced down, I think I saw 5,600-5,700 rpm. My buddy weighs 230 and I'm 180, so we weigh about 80% as much as the boat itself with no motor. I have a new prop, a labbed 26" Merc cleaver that I'll do some real top speed runs with soon.

That's just plain sick fun!!! Gotta be awesome to get pulled on by bigger boats and walk away. Great video James!

I get a lot of chances to race the supercharged or turbo jet skis. I surprise most of them. Mostly pontoon boats in that area I run it.

Thanks, I love this boat. I smile every time I see it. It was a lot of fun to build.
