Just got a 15 foot Whaler , probably a Sport, or maybe a Alert, I'm still trying to figure it out. According to the registration its a 1990, but I have questions about that also.
Anyway, It will likely be stored outside on land thru the winter season and Alaska being what it is, will get cold. Pretty certain there is some water inside the hull and am wondering if the boat can be damaged from the expansion of the freezing water ?

Do you know what states the boat has been and if it was stored outside?
Can you expand on why you think there is water in the hull? Describe visual signs. Where does the waterline sit in relation to the splashwell drains?
Photos to review?
I doubt being outside would cause measurable damage, assuming it is not waterlogged.
Congrats on the boat.

I know the boat has been in Alaska for at least 5 years, prior to then I cant say.
When I got it, it was upright and laying on 3 pallets, I raised it higher and angled it to stern, for drainage and so as to clean old barnacles off it and do some minor patching, and it was then I saw some water seepage from a few of the holes back near the stern.
She sits in the water right above the chine line, with some fuel and a 25 horse Yamaha.
Should be able to get some pictures, and post them if and when our satelite internet connection allows.
