I need to replace the anchor hatch on my 1988 Montauk. I've read that the 1989 and later Montauk came with a fiberglass version. I would like to replace my wooden one with the fiberglass version because keeping a wooden one in that location in good condition is impossible given the amount of fishing I do. Is the fiberglass version still available? If so, where would I go about sourcing one of those? Thanks in advance for your time.-Jack

You might try Twin cities and see if Sue can get you a new one from Commercial products. They may still have the mold and would make one for you. Or call them directly.

Have you thought about making one yourself out of starboard?

I remade mine and it was easy to do. I also added a seat which has worked out well.

I don't remember but guessing 5/8". I added some additional support under the seat and its supported a guy who weighed 270.
