Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1983 Striper 17' trolling motor mount

This Striper came with a trolling motor and has rubber mounts where the motor was. I would like to mount a Minn Kota in the same area. Are the rubber mounts reinforced, and can I just make an adapter plate to fit the new motor? Any information or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks!
