To finish off my Red Ritchie Explorer Repair project I had Garzon Studios create a reproduction decal from a picture of an original E. S. Ritchie & Sons decal. The cost was $30 + $5.00 for each additional copy. Not cheap but the quality of the decal is outstanding:

Garzon has the proofs and can create extra copies for anyone interested. Here is a link to their website:

Garzon does nice work and fast turnaround too. Had them make new decals for my motor. Look better than the originals and have held up very well.

They do. I emailed them on a Tuesday, finalized the proofs on Wednesday, and received the decals that Friday.

I also had them do a 50hp decal for my outboard a few years ago. Still looks new: http://www.whalercentral.com/userphot...to_id=1785

Really? That's great to know. How much did it cost? Given the compass has been discontinued for 30 years I didn't even think to call them.

Hello, I have the original red Ritchie on my 1984 super sport. Who did the reconditions of the red plastic for you, as mine is somewhat faded. . Should I possibly contact Ritchie , as I only live about a half hour from Pembroke?
