It's been a while since my last post.. When the weather changed my business took off and has delayed my whaler project. Anyways, I started to figure out what needed to be done. I'm going to blast the old bottom paint off and then sand everything above the waterline including the inside of the boat. I need to fill all of the gouges with something, just not sure what. I started sanding the boat in certain areas to see how bad it would be. Some areas stayed white while other areas were grey. Anyone know if I should sand down to the grey? As soon as I can get a friend to help, I'm going to get the motor off. I drilled out the rub rail rivets and apparently someone had been under there before and not been so gentle.

I have some questions... Inside of the hull there are little bumps/grips all over. Should I sand these down or just clean them? What kind of filler should I use? What about the damage on the bottom of the hull? Also, as mentioned above, should I sand down to the grey color or try to keep it white? I plan on painting the interior.
