Anyone have any input on adding a fishing seat in a 1988 SSL 15? I was thinking about just adding a mount in the floor just behind the anchor locker, but I really like the vertical mount offered on the new models, just not the price tag. Has anyone ever seen a mount like this offered anywhere? The BW part number is 901-15018.

I didn't know they were still using that vertical fishing seat mount. I have one that came off my 1986 !5' Whaler Striper. I didn't reinstall it when I restored the boat as I thought the mount would be in the way when the seat wasn't being used. It's in OK shape, and just sitting around. I would sell it for $75. BTW I installed a flush seat base on top of the anchor locker cover.

If you still have that Striper seat base, I would like to buy it.

I bought the parts to mount a seat to the bulkhead behind the anchor locker from Sue at twin cities marine. It's what comes on the later model hulls and works great on my 15'. Reference my personal page, it can be seen there.
