Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Merc 500 Rebuild kits and extra parts

Hi All,
I'm working on an old Merc 500. I bought kits (Sierra) for replacing the impeller and for rebuilding the fuel pump. I don't have a manual or diagram. I disassembled, and replaced the used parts with new parts (gaskets mostly). But I have extra, unused parts (gaskets) left over from these kits. Is this normal?
