I have a 1980 Montauk 17 footer. Some of the screw heads holding the rail stanchions to the hull are giving way and also rusting. Is there a good way of removing the screws after the head is gone, and what is the recommended method to repair the holes for new screws?
This is probably covered somewhere, but I couldn't find a way to search for it.
