I just got my 2000 dauntless 14 and want to turn my bimini top around to fold forward instead of backwards when not in use. Has anyone done so? And what would i need to do beside relocate the mounting point of the stand offs. thanks

No need to relocate the mounting points. Simply buy sliding tracks made for that purpose, availables everywhere (http://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-ma...43_004_512).

Rear position when in use and forward when folded: http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae...094303.jpg (mine were on a 1.5" riser to give more clearance).

I never thought about that. Do you leave yours upright but leaning forward? Mine upright leaning to the back is in the way during fishing which is why i wanted it forward like ive seen montauks.
Quick question on your trolling motor. How dos the rail not get in the way?

When forward, it's completely folded, resting on the bow.

As for the trolling motor, it barely clear under the rail when deploying. More pics here : http://www.whalercentral.com/forum/vi...d_id=16516
