Bought 1980 Whaler 11, it has no cleats in the stern on either side. Can't access underside of gunnels in stern to bolt on a cleat. Is there wood somewhere underneath to screw into? Many thanks, Brian

Cleats are not used. Dock lines etc. are tied to the lifting eyes.
