Mine doesn't have the trim tabs. It did come with the full cushion set, an unused bimini top, porta potti, ski pole and the rear livewell. I agree with you about the versatility of this boat. It has plenty of room, delivers a good ride and it is a fantastic fishing boat. Even with the bimini up, there is plenty of room for 4 people to fish. The forward cushions are great for playtime and for just cruising around. My boat didn't come with a trailer and so, I bought a new trailer for it. I take this boat all over the Maryland Eastern Shore. Next summer will include fishing trips to the Delaware Bay and Cape Charles. As you said, I simply cannot say enough good things about this boat.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the Dauntless. So, I kept my '69 16'7" Whaler which I also like alot. But, I like the Dauntless so much, that the smaller Whaler didn't get used all summer. I finally came to the conclusion that although the smaller boat is a GREAT boat, I like the Dauntless better. Is is sacrilege to sell an old buddy that I have had for 30 years and repowered in 2001?
