Hi,
that's what winter is for, right? Spending money on boats!
I've mounted a Minnkota Powerdrive 55lbs on the bow of my Outrage with a quick-release bracket. The same could also be done with their salwater version (Riptide model) cause the dimensions are the same.
The tricky part was to make sure the motor will clear the bow rail when deployed. To overcome the uneven gunnel surface caused by the "lip", I made a "riser" out of 1 1/2 inch Starboard that I secured in place of a front cleat after some trial and errors with a wooden template for precise location.
It turn out great and seems to be strong enough but a 54 inch shaft is a pretty big lever and I don't want the screws to pull out if I hit the motor when drifting so I also need to secure the riser toward the front but it's out-of-question to drill through the gunnel. I then made an aluminum bracket that also clamp under the gunnel. Not particulary pretty but functionnal and in 1 minute and can remove the bracket and replace the cleat.

I also intalled a Fulton Fold-Away hinge kit for the trailer tongue so I won't have to fit it sideways in the garage and I add two quarter seats backrest cushions, ordered from Anderson Mfg. through Sue at Twin Cities Marine.
Next will be moving the batteries into the console with a switch in the electronic box, as soon as I receive that $200 worth of wire...

As a former Outrage 17 I owner, I say well done!
I think the rear quarter seat backrest cushions are a great enhancement.

I updated the album with pics of the clear bowl fuel filter/water separator that I add and another of the tilted console with a pull rope through the rigging tunnel, ready for the 2 AWG battery cables...
I also ordered some SS spring toggle latches for the rear quarter seats to replace the "bungee cord" system, as the PO alredy hinged them.
I'm not sure yet if I'll re-rig the livewell (pump and drain) or if I'll keep that space for storage...

The boat looks great. I currently own a 17 Montauk and your Outrage looks like it addresses several of the issues I have with mine. Is that bait well standard or was it an option?
If I ever see one of those on the market I might nab it.

Updates: I've got some time to work on the boat and I've done the bulk of the electrical work.
First I pull the 2 AWG cables through the rigging tunnel then I crimped the lugs with an hydraulic hex crimper and sealed everything with adhesive lined shrink tubing. I then made two cutouts in the console shelf for the group 24 and 31 battery boxes, fastened the strap holders to the deck and put everything in place, along with an on-board charger:

Man, that console was tight to work in!

nice work I liked. I have also bot Outrage I and now I am working on. can you please let me now for what is and what you get with iron between engine and boat? Is this for clear signal for sounder maybe?

Were you talking of the main engine or the trolling motor? On the main engine, the aluminum bracket is a manual setback jackplate, that make changing the engine height a lot easier.
For the cooler, if you're talking of the one under the seat, it's held by bungee cords like the one in front of the console but the RPS is raised 3". The previous owner did a really neat job with the risers, made of FRP channels.

Thanks. It's a really great ride and I am not yet fully accustomed to it, coming from a 17ft. fishing aluminum boat.
Last week on Lake Champlain with a 2-3 ft. wind driven chop with the occasionnal whitecaps, I've been able to run at WOT (2 guys, loaded with fishing stuff) @ 37mph and didn't get spayed once, with a smooth ride. With my previous boat, I would have needed to slow down at 15 mph and, even then, it would have slammed into each wave.

Very nice work… I never knew how nice those boats are, special yours.
I notice a plate of some type mounted in front of the anchor locker. Is that for a seat pedestal?

Hey Steve, I am interested in adding a tray for a cooler under the pilot seat. Did your boat already have that when you bought it? I wonder where I can get one. I also like the seat backs you added for the stern seats.

The RPS riser/cooler tray was already there and was made by the previous owner out of FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) channels and angles. Being 3" high, a 72 qt cooler can now fit under the seat.
The stern quarter seats back cushions were custom made by Anderson mfg. and ordered via Sue @ Twin Cities Marine.
S J, I saw you bought an Outrage 17 I too; we need pics, lots of them!
