I just picked up my 1978 Montauk and this site looks like the place to be.

The classic Montauk is my "Dream Boat", one day I'll have one. Until then, it's just me and My SWGA Whaler (1972 13' Sport).

I am also a new guy on the block. I just bought a 1987 17ft Montauk. Clean as a whistle. Motor was shot so i put a new Yahama 90 4 stroke in August, and just waiting to get out there. Love the site and will be looking for wood parts for console and fire extinguisher. Appreciate any and all help.
