What's up fellas just joined the whaler central site and there is some beautiful whalers to gawk over on here. I was wondering where I can get a capacity plate for a 1973 21 outrage. Any help would be appreciated guys.

See our sponsor, Magic Brush. They have ads on this site with contact info. I bought mine from them. Good luck!

Rusty -- Mine is actually a plate that's rivited to the side of the hull, just under the gunwales, about midship. But, it looks like hell and the printing has worn almost off. I think what Magic Brush sells are stickers, since that's what the "modern" Whalers have. But, I plan on simply putting mine over the plate that's on my boat. Since mine is a '74 hull and yours is a '73, I imagine yours is similar. Just telling you in case you're expecting a replacement plate. I don't think that's what they sell. But, I'm not doing a museum resotration; just a refurb to a boat I plan to use like it's meant to be used!

Again, good luck!

Does anyone know if the early 60's hulls had capicity plates/stickers? I have looked in the OEM parts/photos and dont see one for a 16'-7" hull.
jollyrog305 has a picture of a sticker on his '67. Photo below his stencil # that is different than the OEM pics.

I understand what you mean blindeman but as long as I have the sticker and it is sufficient according to law enforcement that is all I need. And by the way the people over at magicbrush are very nice, can't remember the lady I talked to but she was very cool, I got my sticker and a buddies sticker for his 72 ribside and heck she already had it in the mail an hour or two after I got off the phone with her.

Rusty -- I wasn't saying the stickers weren't any good. All I was saying (poorly, I suppose) was that they indeed are stickers and not a replacement plate, like the one riveted to your all is all. I ordered mine as well from Magic Brush and they are awesome to deal with. Happy Whalering!
