Were the hand rails leading to the windshield on the walk through Revenge a factory option? I see many Revenges without the railing and wonder is some owners removed this rail on purpose.

The as far as I know the boats ahould have been delievered with the railings. I believe many people take them off to get better access to the rest of the bow deck area.

Thanks for the reply Jeff.

I think that I should clarify that the railing that I am speaking of is the one above the stairs on the cockpit side of the windshield.

87 Revenge,

Some of the earlier model Revenges did not have these grab rails that you mention.
They were added to later model Revenges around 1986 or 1987.
Do you know what years Revenges you were looking at that did not have these rails?

Tom Clark's CD Catalog collection is available on our Front Page.
Every catalog ever made is on his CD collection. I have his CD along with every major catalog from 1980 to present. Like I mentioned above, the railings did not show up in 1986 or 1987.

I have seen the missing hand railing on models as late as 1988. My thougt is that if they are not on the boat they were removed. I have a feeling custom made cockpit covers might be the culprit. The railing is a bit obtrusive but getting to the bow in rough seas can be a challange without one.

87 Revenge,
The ones you have seen may have been removed but that does not mean they were all removed as I mentioned above, the earlier models did not have these railings...

My Aug 1, 1987 BW Price List & Specifications catalog lists the companionway grabrails as either factory installed or field installation. Two separate part numbers are given. Price was $130.
