I'm surprised I'm asking this question, but I'm having a hard time finding nice Slotted Oval Head Machine Screws. I need them to reattach the doors on my Menemsha. I could use Philips, but, that just doesn't sit well with me.

Can anyone recommend a place that won't make me buy a box of 100!

Thanks,

Perry

Take a look here, see if they have what you're looking for:

I've always found what I needed at Ace Hardware. Lowes and Home Depot don't have much especially in stainless.

I have a HUGE stash of old Whaler SS slot head wood screws and machine screw/bolts, all removed from three old Whalers, a '71, a 75 and a 79. Literally, any size that Whaler ever used.

I was going to catalog and package them up, and offer the whole lot for sale here.(in the next month or so).

But if you let me know the size(s) and number you need, I can send some off to you to get your job done.

I've often found a box of fifty less expensive than just four or five from my local hardware store and that includes the shipping.

McMaster-Carr is one of my favorite online shopping sources. Not always the least expensive option but they've got one heck of a selection of just about all things for projects and tinkerers.
