Hello,

Can anyone help me locate the manufacturer of the black rocker switches fitted to the console panel. The switch illuminates with a red light.

I need to replace the navigation light switch which is off/on/on as one of the terminals has pulled out of the plastic moulding,

Thanks,

Red

Hello.

Try contacting Sue at Twin Cities marine. They are a site sponsor and there advertisement is usually at the top of the page.

Also, I've taken just the part numbers of whatever it was I'm looking for and Google the part number. Usually the results appear.

I'm sure others with other options will chime in.

Given that you are on the other side of the pond, it will mostly likely be less expensive to contact a dealer in England. They will have the part number.

Hello,

Thanks for the help so far. My first step was to contact the UK dealer however I struck a blank. I have done some searches for rocker switches of the waterproof type and the one which seems most likely is the Carling Contura rocker switch.

It is disappointing that a local dealer could not assist you.

I would now second the recommend you email Sue Lodel of Twin Cities they are a master Whaler dealer and are known for delivering the finest and most complete service to owners i would tell her all the details of your boat and the recommendation from us for her assistance.

Red,

Carling was the manufacturer on many models including the 1997 Outrage 17' I used to own.

Carling makes a lot of switches.
My buddy has a 1996 Outrage 17' and he eventually went to a dealer to buy the switch. It was Carling but not sure which Carling.

As others said above, try Sue at Twin Cities Marine. She will know.

Hello again,

Just to let you know that the Carling switch used is VGDA-1, off/on/on for navigation lights. in case anyone needs it for future use.

I have now managed to source one switch courtesy of Mark who works for Yeowards in Salcombe, Devon where my Whaler came from.

FP Marine in USA does list the switch but the postage is 3 times the cost of the switch.

Thanks for the help, with any luck I will be out there in my Whaler again on Tuesday night, lights not on the blink,
