Try OutboardDecals.com. I have not bought anything from them yet, but plan to in the next few weeks for my outboard.

I would start searching out a couple other old school dealers in your area and see if they have some New Old Stock ones.

If that does not work..heck, I would try Lockeman's here in Detroit. They are the oldest Sales and Service OMC / now BRP dealership that is still operating today. They have all kinds of New Old Stock in their shop including some decals. Talk to Dave if you can. He is always willing to help anyone out and if he does not have them I my know who still does. Let him know you were sent his info from one of the Whaler sites as well.

Or, Northwestern Boat company is another very old OMC dealer in this area with new old stock parts.

This fellow in Canada does some really nice work with older decal sets, especially Mercury up to 1985. I notice he's not yet up to 1985 with Evinrude, but is working on them. This site should be of general interest to many here with older engines.

Let me know what your research finds Giro. I am not yet up to that point but I have a 1984 Ev V4 90 HP and will probably need the same decals you are looking for.

Have you found a good quality paint and color match yet?

I had mine done from a local graphics shop.Something to think about if you can't find them. I saved about 50 bucks too.

I seconf bmw90w. If you can get a photograph, or a picture from some literature, of it a good graphics shop can reprodurce it.

How about the people at Magic Brush? Would they be able to do the engine decals if they had pictures and some dimensions? I will need to get new Boston Whaler decals and I would need some Mercury decals. If they could do both I would rather give them the business. What do you all think that have used Magic Brush before?
Thanks.

Jeff, I called Marie Supplies and Dave was out I spoke with Doug who was very helpful. The earleist they have are 2001, but Doug said that some do put the newer decals on the older outboards and are happy with it, about $30.00 to do so. He said that soem of the aftermarket decals have not held up as well to UV exposure.

For Paint Gamalot, I did order Envinrude match spray paint from a local dealer. I did a quick sand and touch when I got it, plan was to take it all down, repaint and hopefully put new decals on it. The search continues, I'll keep you posted. Thanks to all for the info, more topics and questions to come.

Thanks Giro. I already tried the evinrude paint from the nearest local dealer and ended up with a dead can of paint that was probably sitting on his shelf a long time. It will cost me more to go back the 50 miles to return it for a refund. My decals are in pretty decent shape but the paint is shot all around them. I think it is another of those dammed if you do and dammed if you don't deals and if I tape the decals and paint around them I will be sorry very soon. Never a dull moment here in New YUK.
