Greetings,

I wondering if anyone can tell me if the instrument panel on the Montauk 170 is the same size as the one for the 150? I currently have a 2006 Montauk 150 and would like to add some gauges. The switch configuration on the 170 instrument panel would better suite my needs. If I purchase a blank panel with the switch configuration for a Montauk 170 will it fit my Montauk 150? The dimensions of the panel on the Montauk 150 are 13.5 inches wide and 6.5 inches tall at the top of the arch.

Thanks

It appears that the console part numbers are the same for the 06 150 and 170, however the panel numbers are different. This could be because of the panel gauge/switch options and locations between the two models. One would think that if the consoles are the same, then the console panel cut out (dimension) would be as well. Does your local dealer have the 170 part and would they let you test fit the part before purchase?

Thanks Jollyrog for your response. I contacted my local Boston Whaler dealer here in Maryland. They said they were unsure of the fit but wanted to check with Boston Whaler in Edgewater for verification. Still waiting to here back from them. Apparently they keep leaving messages and are not getting a response from Edgewater. Hmmm.

Last we knew, the plant was operating on a funky schedule and wasn't open every day. Not sure if they're back to regular production or not.

I would say a 4-day work week at best...

Does your local dealer have a 150 on the lot? If not, maybe another dealer does.

They haven't taken the shrink wrap off the boats at my dealer yet (chance of snow tomorrow) so I can't check.

Actually it was something more like 1 week on, 1 week off.

My dealer did not have a 150 on the lot and they were not getting a response from Edgewater. I was a little disappointed, so I decided to give Sue a call from Twin Cities Marine after hearing positive feedback about them on this site. Wow! Talk about customer service. While I was on the phone, she went out to the show room and measured both the 150 and 170 instrument panels for the 2010 models. Both had the same exact measurements as my 2006 150 instrument panel. I ordered a blank 170 panel with the switches from her and it should be here by the middle of next week.
