Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1978 Brochure

I have scanned to jpeg a 1978 Boston Whaler Brochure that I thought would be a good addition to the Articles site.
It has a nice description of my 1978 Revenge 21 and these are the pages I have scanned. I tried to download them to my personal site but they were too large and I do not have an editing program to re-size them.
I would be happy to email them to an admin person in order to download them for the common good on Whaler Central.
Best,
Joe Balla

Hi Joe Balla,
Unfortunately we cannot use photos that belong to Boston Whaler including any photos that are in their catalogs. The photos we use belong to our members. Photos they have taken and of course these photos belong to the member.
Myself and many others have the 1978 catalog. Many of us also own Tom W Clarks collection of catalogs on CD which includes all catalogs that were ever made. See his add in the "Visit our Sponsors" panel in the upper right sidebar. We highly recommend everyone have this catalog CD.
If you take some photos of your Revenge, please post them in your personal page so we can all view them.
Thanks

Jane,
It is a standard website.

I would send Tom a Private Message or an Email.
You can click on his name in the forums or go to this link:
http://www.whalercentral.com/profile....lookup=365
Mention that you are having problems getting to his site.

tomwclark.com seems to be working just fine. I have tested it on different computers with two different browsers and have cleared the cache to make sure it is coming up fresh. I only have Macs at my disposal right now so can anybody explain in more detail what trouble they might be having?
Is there an error message that appears? Does it take you somewhere else?
tomwclark.com is merely a redirect address that takes you to the real website I have hosted on my own account at Comcast. If you cannot get
www.tomwclark.com to open then try the root source:
http://home.comcast.net/~tomwclark/in.../index.htm
I would like to know from folks who are having difficulty opening my page what operating system and browser you are using. I suspect there may be a conflict. I know AOL is problematic.

Tom,
I don't have any problems getting to any or all of your addresses above using Safari or FireFox.
So there is no problem on my computers.
If you want me to change your address in your site link to add the comcast part, please let me know. No problem doing that if that is going to work better for other users.

Outside of Tom's site getting blocked at my office for adult and sexual content his site has worked just fine for me. I geuss my office is taking a stance on boat porn as well.

Its the redirected link that is causing a problem for me. When I go directly to his site no troubles.

Jane,
What ISP do you use? What browser do you use?

Here are 2 addresses to try. The first one redirects to the second.
If the first one does not work, then try the second.
1.
http://www.tomwclark.com
2.
http://home.comcast.net/~tomwclark/tomwclark/
Most addresses should work with the redirect, but AOL and a few other ISP's seem to have problems with the redirect.
Please let us know if only #2 above works for you and which ISP and browser you are using so we can narrow this down...

Joe,
I just tried your link number 1 above. I got a blank page with Safari. I *then* cleared my cache and reloaded. Yep, it came right up.
I am at a loss to explain that.

I am with Jeff, my access gets blocked from the office but works fine from the house. My office blocks suspected porn and any personal hosing site such as comcast.net.

This is an ongoing problem I have not been able to fix. It now appears you must enable cookies to access
www.tomwclark.com I am not sure how to work around this.
For the time being use:
http://home.comcast.net/~tomwclark/in.../index.htm
...which will work.
