I’m changing out my brass drain tube on my 13’ Boston whaler but ran across a snag. The bottom drain tube does not lay flush against the transom because the back end is on an angle. I’ve tried crimping it snug but ended up digging in to the transom on the top part of the hole and the bottom flared and spit down the middle.
Would appreciate any help in getting this job done.
Kind regards.

presume you have purchased tube with flared end.
First insert O ring on to the flared end.
Insert into hole.
Add two O rings.
Press o rings so the touch surface.
Mark the tube all around the outside o ring.
Remove
Cut the tube on mark
Heat tube end to be flared till it is RED hot with torch.
Qwench in bucket of water.
Insert O ring
Flare as much as possible.
Use a rubber mallet to finish flare.
