Hello,
I have a circa 1968 13' and have just finished sanding all the mahogany down to bare wood. I read in a post that it is a good idea to apply a wood bleach before staining. Would anyone have a recommendation on the bleach type, brand, etc.

Do you have existing stains in the wood? I built my console out of new wood, so sorry no bleach recommendation.

Any bleach will be fine, just don't mix it stronger than 10% solution (with water). Mahogany is an open grain wood so you will need to wet it well.
