Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: A different type of Side Rub rails? 1984 Sport

does anyone know if the rails on the side of this boat are a standard Boston Whaler offering? It's the only boat that I have ever seen with them.

They look cool to me, I'm guessing that the function is to keep the boat from getting banged up but not too sure

this boat also has an aluminum plate that the outboard mounts to, I only have seen that on a few boats

the person selling it looking for 4300 with a loadrite trailer

any help would be appreciated

Two possibilities:

A) Custom install.

B) That is a Boston Whaler Commercial and Government Products (CPD) model that has the optional Rescue rails option. From the catalog:
