Came up with a genius way to not put any holes in the transom. Welded some 316 steel brackets that act as backing plates for lifting eyes. I put my underwater lights and transducer on them. Next project is a swimplatform for the gf. Bought new steel that will travel horizontally across the transom. My swim platform rail will bolt to that steel. The bottom of the swim platform will be supported by a stainless steel lip flange I made and bolted to the original (vertical) back plate My question is what Height?

How high are swim platforms off the water line?

I’m running a fairly neutral weight boat despite the F90 SHO at 353lbs on the transom. Re weight distribution of dual batts to console, fuel separator and tank under seat. Transom is 100 clear of running equipment I plane at 2300 rpm, with a normal load. Boat never digs her ass in on acceleration. Relatively flat through the entire rpm spectrum. Bow begins to dive above 33-35mph

Swim platform is going to starboard. I list to port at 5300+ rpm / 35-38 mph Bc of the highend prop torque in the four strokes Also Bc of the rotation of the prop. My transducer is mounted port as well. Avoiding any stupid foot slips from passengers. Stern light and bus box are to port. Eliminating accidental grabs to that as well.

My expertise is limited to this swim platform height. I don’t want to affect the wash or true hull performance going too low. Definitely do not want wash spray over my new motor, had to rectify that issue with the transducer . Is there an optimal height above waterline ? Thanks everyone Looking to bolt up ASAP.

Just a couple inches above waterline is fine.
