Hello folks. I am considering installing outboard motor hydrofoils on my brand new twin Merc 225s which are repowering my 2001 Conquest 26'. I am interested to hear if anyone has any experience to share about whether hydrofoils improve out of hole performance and flattening of the hull (lowering bow) when planing. Thank you.

I would run it first and on a 26' boat, trim tabs would be a better match. If you already have tabs, fins are useless.

Absolute waste of money.

What really makes a difference are quality stainless 4 bladed props. I would also check engine height as well.

Go with good props. The hydrofoil will add drag. You should use the trim tabs. I have never seen hydrofoils on a heavy boat with twins. Waste of money in my opinion.
